Maison de la Luz sits on the hillside above Corossol Bay in St. Barths. This four-bedroom villa sleeps eight across three levels, with two heated pools and terraces that face the sunset.

Setting and views

The house steps down the slope through a tropical garden, where palms and oversized leaves climb right up to the terraces. From the main level the view takes in Corossol Bay, the boats riding at anchor and the Caribbean Sea out to the horizon, and the terraces catch the sunset every evening.

Living spaces

The main living room, complete with a foosball table, opens wide onto the terrace and the infinity-edge pool, lined with sun loungers and a strip of lawn facing the ocean. Right next to it, the dining area seats twelve at a long raw-wood table, and the fully equipped kitchen has its own breakfast bar. At the end of the terrace, by the gas grill, a round table under a parasol works as well for morning coffee as for sundowners. A second air-conditioned lounge at the back of the house serves as the media room, and there is a separate powder room for guests. The villa also has a wine fridge, an ice maker and a Sonos sound system. One level down, a second, smaller heated pool is tucked into the greenery.

Bedrooms

All four bedrooms are air-conditioned, spread over the three levels, and each one is decorated in its own style. Every room has a king bed, an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a closet, a desk and direct access to a terrace. One bedroom is on the main pool level, another sits on the upper level up a flight of stairs, and the last two are on the lower level around the second pool. One of them can be set up with twin beds.

Around the villa

Corossol has kept the feel of a fishing village, and its small beach is a two-minute walk from the villa. Gustavia, with its restaurants, boutiques and harbor, is a five-minute drive, as is the airport, which makes this Corossol villa rental an easy base for exploring the whole island.
