Villa Ahava sits high on the hills of Colombier, St Barth, with four bedrooms for eight guests. Recently renovated, it looks down over Gustavia and the village of Corossol from a single level, opening entirely onto the terrace.

The setting and the view

The villa occupies the southern slope of Colombier, one of the quietest quartiers on the island. From there the eye drops onto Gustavia harbor, over Corossol and out to the Caribbean Sea, with the sunsets straight ahead. It is one of the widest panoramas you can have from a house on St Barth.

The living spaces

Everything happens on one level. The living room and the open kitchen, both air conditioned, run straight out onto the terrace, and the view follows you from room to room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a wine cellar.

Outside, several wooden terraces share the sun and the shade, with loungers in the garden and a heated pool facing the open sea. An air conditioned gym, with treadmill, rowing machine and weight bench, completes the picture.

The bedrooms

All four bedrooms are on the same level, each with its own en suite bathroom, air conditioning, a ceiling fan and a safe. Every one has a sea view and opens onto the terrace.

They come with king beds, two of which can be split into twins, which makes the house work as well for four couples as for a family or a group of friends.

Around the villa

Flamands beach and Shell Beach are the closest, and Anse de Colombier is reached by the coastal path that starts at the end of the Flamands road. Gustavia and Saint Jean are under ten minutes away by car, the airport about ten. Parking is on the property.
