Villa K sits on the beachfront at Anse des Cayes, St Barth, with four bedrooms for eight guests. A sandy path leads from the terrace straight down to the beach. The house was designed by the Patrick Raffeneau architecture practice.

The setting and the view

Set back behind the dune among the coconut palms, the villa faces the open sea. From the upper level the view opens onto the Atlantic and onto Toc Vert islet, offshore from Anse des Cayes bay, home to one of the most consistent surf breaks on the island. Between the deck and the dune, a natural stone fountain and a koi pond set the tone on arrival, within a landscaped garden.

The living spaces

Living room, kitchen and outdoor dining area run into one another without a break, behind wide sliding glass doors that let you close everything in and cool it down depending on the hour and the wind. The kitchen has professional grade appliances, a large pantry and a wine cellar. A home cinema system completes the living room.

Outside, a wide hardwood deck wraps around a heated eighteen metre mirror pool, with loungers and daybeds in both sun and shade. The outdoor table seats ten, with the barbecue alongside.

The bedrooms

All four bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom, air conditioning and, for most of them, a walk in closet and their own way outside.

Upstairs, the master suite and its king bed open onto a private terrace and a bathroom with a panoramic tub facing the ocean. The second upstairs bedroom also has the view and its own balcony. On the ground floor, the last two, in queen beds, open directly onto the deck and the garden, one of them straight onto the pool.

Around the villa

Anse des Cayes beach is at the end of the path. Saint Jean, its shops and the airport are five minutes away by car, Gustavia with its harbor and its restaurants under ten. Flamands beach is five minutes away. Parking is on the property.
