Villa Pajoma is a three-bedroom villa for six guests on the heights of Lurin, St Barth, three minutes from Gustavia, with a view that runs down over the bay of Saint Jean. The house is set in a large garden of palm trees and tropical plants arranged around the pool, and its wide sliding doors keep the inside and the outside as one.

Setting and views

From the upper deck the eye goes over the treetops of the hillside to the turquoise water of Saint Jean bay and the hills of the east coast beyond. Closer in, the garden gives the villa its privacy, with lawns, rocks, mature palms and flowering shrubs all around the terrace and the deck.

Living spaces

The living room is a bright, open space under a white timber ceiling, with deep sofas and carved wood tables, and it opens fully onto the covered terrace. The kitchen is open to the living room and looks toward the pool, and the indoor dining table, in glass with rattan chairs, stands between the two. Outside, the covered terrace holds a second lounge and a long table for dinners in the open air, then the wooden deck runs around the pool, lined with sun loungers, as far as a sofa corner facing the garden.

Bedrooms

The three bedrooms each have a king bed and an en suite bathroom. Bedroom 1 is on the lower level, apart from the rest of the house, and looks out over the bay from its own terrace. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are on the main level, side by side, and their sliding doors open straight onto the pool deck.

Around the villa

Shell Beach, the Gustavia beach known for its sunsets, is a two-minute drive away, and Gouverneur a few minutes further along the coast. The restaurants and shops of Gustavia are three minutes from the villa, the airport six and Saint Jean eight.
