Villa Peace of Mind sits at the heart of the Domaine du Gouverneur, St Barth, with four bedrooms for eight guests. Completed in 2022, it was designed by the Architectonik studio and unfolds on one level in independent pavilions.

The setting and the view

The domaine is a gated group of three recent villas, between Gustavia and Saint-Jean. The house rereads traditional West Indian architecture in a contemporary key, within a tropical garden crossed by a wooden walkway.

The living spaces

The living room and the kitchen form a single open volume, with wide glass doors that carry light through the day. The finishes are exacting, custom woodwork, designer furniture and high end materials.

A covered deck runs the full length of the villa and extends the living areas. In front, a large rectangular pool takes the forward part of the grounds, facing the garden.

The bedrooms

Each of the four bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom and its own private terrace.

The primary suite has the sea view. The three others open onto the ocean or the garden, depending on their aspect.

Around the villa

Gouverneur beach is the closest. Gustavia and Saint-Jean frame the area, a few minutes away by car on either side. The entrance is private and gated, with four parking spaces on the property.
